About the event
We head back to the west side of town as we celebrate the first ride of fall. Officially! So get those PSLs lined up and ready to go.
This week we're at Clark-Fulton's Roberto Clemente Park, a quiet gem tucked away in the shadows of a freeway, protected from sunlight by some very large and old trees, and the site of one of our best received rides from last season. We always look forward to a trip through this part of town, as we're invariably cheered on by neighborhood residents, many of whom tag along on a ragtag fleet of conveyances for a block or two or even longer. Life is largely lived outdoors in Clark-Fulton, and if it's a warm enough day we'll encounter lots of it.
The park, which sits at the intersection of Seymour Avenue and W. 38th Street, does have a small parking lot. Note that local baseball teams use this park constantly, so prepare for the possibility that you might have to find parking on the street. On-street parking is possible all the way down both streets for the most part. Or just ride in; Roberto Clemente is central to just about everything on the west side of town.
We'll have our booth set up at 6 PM, and we ride out at 7. NOTE: we will _not_ have our full booth for the 6/30 ride, but when we return on October 7 at Shaker Square, we'll have some cool new high visibility long-sleeve logo shirts to show off.
IT WILL BE DARK FOR MOST OF THE RIDE. This goes for every ride from here out until we finish up at the end of October. So stay lit, stay seen.
